Mal Maiz returns to the Tuesday Night Live Outdoor Stage on Legion Field, School Street, Johnson for another family friendly event on July 26th.
Mal Maiz is Costa Rican multi-instrumentalist Maiz Vargas Sandoval and his Afro-Latino Orchestra - a hot East Coast Festive Band with both a traditional and modern flair. Based out of Burlington, Vermont, Mal Maiz blends traditional cumbia, montuno, son corrido, puya, and afro-carribean sounds while he shares his heritage and culture with an explosive dance party.
Tuesday Night Live is free thanks to the support of local businesses. Just bring a blanket or chair. A variety of vendors on site. The Historical Society bakers promise slices of homemade pie baked with fresh berries, apricots, maple with pecans or cream, Toll House, chocolate cream, as well as other specialties; Alice's German chocolate cake, and grilled McKenzie hot dogs.
Parking is along School Street, in the Elementary School Parking lot, and at the McClelland Building lot on College Hill. Rain or shine. Be sure to give a thank you to the sponsors of Tuesday Night Live, who are listed on the yellow panels next to the Tuesday Night Live stage.
