This coming Saturday morning please join the Marlboro Historical Society at 9 am sharp at Newton House, 364 South Road, Marlboro, and we will carpool to South Pond. Once there, Kirsten Turner and her mother Tinky Turner will tell us of their findings of a pipeline to the pond, and many other artifacts found with a metal detector. We'll also explore the curious ridge of earth around the south end of South Pond, and hear about a great fishing controversy at the pond a century ago.
We'll walk for half a mile over uneven ground in the woods. Bring bug spray and your imagination. Please join us! Contact Malcolm Moore with questions at surveygmls@gmail.com or at 254-5015.
