The Bread and Puppet Barn/Museum needs your help! We are in a major battle with Powder Post Beetles that are very slowly but surely eating away the barn's timber frame. We still have the opportunity to turn the tides against these little foes. Tomorrow Tuesday July 19th between 3pm amd 6pm we will be spraying the barn with a solution called Bora-Care that will help us mediate this major problem. Unlike soil termiticides and fumigation, Bora-Care's active ingredient is a natural borate mineral salt less toxic than table salt to humans, fish, birds and mammals, but deadly to insect pests.

We will be moving, dusting and cleaning out exhibits to effectively spray. Therefore we recommend that all volunteers wear work close that they aren't afraid to get dirty in and an KN95 mask both for Covid and all the dust. If you don't have a KN95 mask we have extras.
