An exhibit of works by many area artists, collected by Joy Wallens-Penford and other local art-lovers, will be on view at All Souls Church in the West Village Meeting House in West Brattleboro, with a preview on Sunday, July 17, from 12 to 2 pm. The work will all be auctioned both through a silent and a live auction, scheduled for Saturday, August 6, from 2 to 4 pm. Interested bidders can register for both auctions this Sunday, as well as on July 24 and July 31, 12 to 2 pm.
Offering something for everyone, over 65 works in a wide variety of styles and media will be auctioned—35 from Joy's collection and over 30 appealing works from other local collectors. Joy's items are offered as a celebration of her broad contribution to the arts in Windham County. Proceeds from the auction will help Pave the Way to the West Village Meeting House—a project to pave All Souls' long and winding dirt driveway.
All Souls Church is located in the West Village Meeting House, off Western Avenue, at 29 South Street, West Brattleboro. Find out more at www.ascvt.org/artauction.
