After a very successful and fun Children's Concert, the Springfield (VT) Community Band shifts gears to a concert with guest conductors.
The concert will take place on Tuesday, July 19, at 7:30 p.m. at the outdoor bandstand at Riverside Middle School, 13 Fairground Rd, Springfield, VT.
Directing the band will be three music educators who are also band members: Danielle St. Amand, Alex Brady and Christian Terry.
The pieces they've chosen for the evening are band favorites . These include, among others, the "Star Wars Marches" by John Williams, selected themes from the Pixar movies, "Ashokan Farewell" by Jay Ungar (a beautiful piece that is new to the band), and "Concerto for Drumset," featuring percussionist Clayton Thompson.
Please bring a chair.
