Being a Justice of the Peace is a great way to get more involved in your community. Primary duties include being an election worker and sitting on the Board of Civil Authority. A JP may officiate weddings and may also give oaths. If registered at the county courthouse, they can act as notaries.

The Northfield Democratic Committee will be hosting a nominating meeting to nominate candidates for the office of Justice of the Peace. The meeting will be held on July 23th at 9am in the Community Room of the Brown Public Library.
