SOCIAL JUSTICE FILMS CONTINUE: This coming Monday the 18th, Randolph's Chandler Music Hall and Playhouse Theater continue their three-film series addressing Environmental Justice issues, presenting an encouraging story about a successful local challenge to "the powers that be".
There's Something in the Water . 7:30 PM at The Playhouse
This film shows not only the injustices and injuries caused by environmental racism, but the heroic fight waged by Indigenous and African Nova Scotian women. This film was chosen because it shows how persistent nonviolent activism can impact even the most stubborn governmental lethargy.
There will be a brief introduction to the film; and after it, an opportunity to discuss and share reactions and learnings.
