This Week at the Colchester Food Shelf

Past event
Jul 13, 2022, 12 to 6 PM

WEDNESDAY, JULY 13th: FOOD SHELF HOURS: 12 noon to 6 pm

MASK WEARING: Please continue to WEAR A MASK when talking with Food Shelf volunteers. Volunteers continue to wear masks throughout their shift.

PROOF OF RESIDENCE INFORMATION: If you have not been to the Food Shelf before or if you have not been in 2022, please bring Proof of Residency of Colchester. Proof would be a current bill, lease, etc with your name and address, but not a driver's license or car registration.

MISCELLANEOUS ITEMS: We have tables outside the Food Shelf, one with miscellaneous items and the other with recently outdated items. Please help yourself to those items that you will use.

GARDENERS: In past summers, many of you have planted an extra row in your garden for the Food Shelf. It has been much appreciated and we hope you will do so again. Think about adding a little extra to your garden if you have not done so in the past. Fresh vegetables are often the highlight of the monthly visit to the Food Shelf. Thank you in advance.

FRESH VEGETABLES: We are getting some fresh garden veggies. Gardens are starting to produce: radishes, scallions; beet greens and lettuce. Should be getting green beans and zucchini soon.

DONORS: There are volunteers at the Food Shelf at 11:00 am, preparing for Wednesday hours. Some items that we use in monthly groceries include: apple juice, Progresso or Chunky Campbell soups with chicken or beef; Cereals – Honey-Nut Cheerios, raisin bran, Rice Krispies, Corn Flakes; Pasta Sauce (no meat). Please, nothing outdated. Thank You for your help!

PLEASE STAY SAFE AND WELL!!!
