The Valley Players are happy to announce the auditions for their next shows, The Great Gatsby, adapted for the stage by Joe Landry, and a Holiday Show TBA, on August 7 & 10 in Waitsfield. Auditions will consist of reading from the script and are open to all, whether experienced or interested in trying theater. While the gender of the show's characters is unable to be changed, we welcome actors of all gender identities to audition for any role. These two shows will be in a 1940's Live Radio Broadcast style. Sound effects will be created live on stage and, due to the style of the performance, scripts will also be used on stage. Both shows have the same radio station "WBFR Playhouse of the Air" actors. If possible, the director would like to cast both shows with the same actors; however, everyone interested in auditioning for one show or the other should attend. Location: All rehearsals and performances will take place at the Valley Players Theater, 4254 Main Street (Rt. 100), in Waitsfield, VT.
