4th / 5th & 6th Grade Flag Football:
Students entering 4th, 5th or 6th grade this Fall that are interested in playing on the Mt Abraham Youth Football Program’s flag football team should be aware of the following dates:
Equipment Hand-out and registration:
September 3rd & 4th from 6:00-7:30pm at the Bus Barn across from the Bristol American Legion Post 19. Players can also pre-register through the Bristol Recreation Department website, “bristolrec.org”, prior to the equipment hand-out. Players still need to attend one of the hand-out sessions to be fitted for helmet, shoulder pads, and receive the necessary equipment.
Confidential scholarships are available for anyone with a financial hardship. Please speak to either Darla or Val in the Bristol Rec. Department office (453-5885) for details.
If a player cannot make either of the equipment hand-out dates and still wants to play, please contact Ernie Senecal to make other arrangements (contact info listed below).
Practices will start Saturday morning, Sept. 6th and are held at the Mt Abraham High School practice field located behind the Bus Barn. Practices will generally be held twice weekly, evenings starting approx. 5:30pm (days to be determined). Games are held Saturday mornings at the Bristol Rec Field or behind Middlebury High School starting Sept. 20th and should run through Oct. 25th.
