Writer's Wertfrei This Saturday

Past event
Jul 16, 2022, 10 AM to 12 PM

Why do we write? What do we write? Is writing cathartic?

We write to express our feelings, we write to persuade, to inform, to engage, and to entertain. We write to remember. We write narrative, we journal, we report, we essay, we write short stories, speeches, poetry, we write to teach, to instruct, to perform a task. In other words, we write in numerous ways for numerous purposes. Join us the 3rd Saturday of the month in the Waterbury Library for Writers' Wertfrei.

"Wertfrei" comes from the German "Wertfreiheit" meaning non-judgmental or value-free. These gatherings are a place where writers can come, share their work, receive comments and suggestions in a supportive, caring environment. Come with what you are currently working on.

Saturday, July 16th: 10-noon in the SAL room and on Zoom.
