This Saturday 16 July 2022, join fellow outdoor enthusiasts for the Missisquoi Paddle-Pedal – a family-friendly event that combines 10.5 km (6.5 miles) of paddling down a Wild and Scenic section of the Missisquoi River and 8 km (5 miles) of cycling on the adjacent Missisquoi Valley Rail Trail, between Davis Park in Richford and East Berkshire.
Bring your family, gather a team of friends, or come by yourself—this community event is for all ages and abilities. Sign-up for a non-competitive recreational class or enter to race to have some friendly competition. Lunch available for purchase (via advance registration). There will be kid-friendly activities and displays in the park. All participants will go home with a prize!
$10 boat rentals are available from the UMATR Wild & Scenic Committee with an advance registration. Call (802) 393-0076 or email info@vtwsr.org for more info. Bike shuttling (to the take-out point) and boat shuttling (back to the start line) provided for all. Complimentary bike tune-up through The Jay Cloud Cyclery.
Scholarships are available for residents of Franklin & Orleans counties. Proceeds from this event will support waterway access improvements and information for paddlers.
