The Craftsbury Chamber Players begin their 2022 season on Wednesday, July 13 at 7:30 at the Elley-Long Music Center in Colchester. The program ranges from Renaissance England to contemporary American and celebrates the richness and range of chamber music traditions. Featured works are John Dowland, Lachrimæ or seaven teares (1604), Kenji Bunch, Apocryphal Dances (2017), Robert Beaser, Mountain Songs (1985), and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Piano Quartet no. 1 in g minor K. 478 (1785).
The performers are Darryl Kubian, Mary Rowell, and Katherine Winterstein, violins; Kenji Bunch, viola; Frances Rowell, cello; James Kerr, guitar; and Monica Ohuchi, piano. There is a pre-concert chat featuring one of the artists at 6:45.

There is a FREE mini-concert for our youngest chamber music lovers, also at Elley-Long, offered at 4 pm. The program features excerpts from the evening concert.
Please note – While COVID-19 infection rates in northern Vermont are down considerably, we nevertheless recommend that face masks be worn inside performance venues; we are not requiring masks, however. Should national and local guidelines change in the course of the concert season, we will of course provide updated guidance.
