Hello Community of East Calais and Beyond.....
Thank you again for all your patience and neighborliness. You are the best community! As we have taken this house and transformed it with love and care into a home, ready for the big unveiling this Saturday, June 14 from 4-7, we are so very grateful to have done so in East Calais. We had no idea when we started this project that we would fall in love with the area and the community - but we did. We can see why you all enjoy it so much. We will have a good, old fashioned BBQ Rain or shine this Saturday - and let's all do the sunshine mojo dance for some of that glorious sunshine we've been having lately. Please stop by - kids and fur kids welcome - and have a bite to eat and say hello to the neighbors. We are selling this home to someone, and if that someone is you or someone you know, we wish you many years of happiness in this home. You may reach me or my husband at 802-238-5939 or calais118@yahoo.com. I don't have cell service there in East Calais, so please forgive me if there's a little delay in responding, but I will respond.
It's my understanding from Doug Guy, our landscaper, that many of you whom we don't even know have contributed from your own gardens to add to the landscaping of this beautiful home. That is rare and unique and brings an incredible feeling of community welcomeness to this home already! Thank you to all of you. It just adds to the feeling that this was the right thing to do to take this house and turn it back into a home. Please introduce yourself and say hello on Saturday at the Open House/BBQ or stop by and let me know which planting is yours so I can thank you personally. Thank you again.
We couldn't be more excited and thrilled to unveil this home - 165-year-old home with newly insulated top rated R49 insulation, brand new plumbing, electrical and heating, foundation shored up for the next 165 years and beyond, landscaping by the Great Mr. Guy, and new kitchen keeping the Authentic Vermont Charm with original flooring throughout and many little touches such as hand-hewn beams and exposed beams that you can see for yourself. We have a busy week to put on the finishing touches.
Accepting offers as of today. Have a wonderful week - and hope to see you on Saturday - or just stop by if you see us out there working - We are looking for our next project....With Warmest Regards - Ray and Margie
