The second week of Tuesday Night Live features the Lesley Grant Band on the Outdoor Stage at Legion Field, School Street, Johnson on July 12th 6pm-8:30pm.
Lesley Grant's song writing skill and natural singing voice summon her musical influences, as well as those of the southern Appalachians, in an authentic manner rarely encountered in the Northeast. Among others on stage will be Morrisville's, Jess Zehngut on fiddle.
It is free and family friendly. Just bring a blanket or chair. Rain or shine.
Parking is along School Street, in the Elementary School Parking lot, and at the McClelland Building lot on College Hill.
Summer showers may dampen the enthusiasm for a few minutes; but it is lightning and thunder that cancels the event.
Tasty food vendors will include: Waffle Wagon, Green Mountain Kettle Corn, Mediterranean Mix, Nepali Kitchen, Kingdom Creamery Ice Cream, Omakase, JJ's Maple Cotton Candy and Maple Popcorn, and Fire on the Mountain Wood Fire Pizza. The Historical Society bakers promise a great selection of homemade pies, Alice's German chocolate cake, and McKenzie hot dogs.
Tuesday Night Live is free thanks to the support of local businesses and organizations. Be sure to give them a thank you when you get a chance. Some include Better Business Bureau, Higher Elevation, Johnson Hardware & Rentals, Union Bank, Lost Nation, GW Tatro, Three Mountain Roofing, Concept 2, Butternut Mountain Farm, Lamoille County Mental Health, Rock Art Brewery, Polow & Polow, Ebenezer Books, Community Bank, Moog's Joint, VT Studio Center, Foote Brook Farm, Sterling Market, Forget-Me-Not, Carrie Cook Design, and Lamoille Valley Bike Tours.
