SOCIAL MEDIA SURGERY FOR NONPROFITS
Wed, June 18, 6pm – 8pm -Brooks Memorial Library, Main Street, Brattleboro, VT

Does your organization need help using Facebook or Twitter? At this event, we will be bringing social media experts from around the state to work one on one with area organizations.

Are you flummoxed by Facebook, can't work out what everyone's Tweeting about, or have fallen off a blog? If so, plan to attend the Vermont Digital Economy Project's upcoming Social Media Surgery. At this hands on, action oriented workshop, there will be volunteer “surgeons” who can explain things, show you how to get started, unstick you if you‘re stuck, or just help you think through why you might use any of these social media tools in the first place.

This won't be a workshop like any you have attended before - No two hour Powerpoint presentation or napping in your seat while someone drones on forever. You will be working individually or in small groups sitting in front of a computer talking about your group's social media strategy and making improvements. Whether it's setting up a Facebook page, figuring out how to use Twitter or taking your strategy to the next level, and whether you're a beginner or the designated social media person in your organization, chances are we can pair you with someone who can help. Every organization will leave with an improved presence.
