Independence Dai in Jeffersonville

Past event
Jul 4, 2014, 10 AM to 2 PM

We're just about a month away from our Independence Day celebration! The parade will step off on Friday, July 4th, at 10 AM from G.W.Tatro. This year's parade Grand Marshall is Matt Safford. The entertainment at this year's fair, once again provided through the generosity of the Cambridge Arts Council, is Kim and Reggie Harris. Among their repertoire are songs of and about the Underground Railroad. Combined with the ongoing Civil War Sesquicentenial commemorations, the parade theme of 'Freedom and Independence' is particularly appropriate. As always, the fair immediately follows the parade at Cambridge Elementary School and runs until 2:00 with 'good eats', crafts, games for the kids and a chance to reconnect with friends and neighbors. Don't forget the Watermelon Eatin' and Frog-jumping Contests!

Local non-profit community groups that wish to have a space at the fair should contact me at rsaloomey@myfairpoint.net or, weekdays, at 644-8232 soon, as we have a policy of avoiding duplication of your 'offerings' and it's generally first come...There is no charge for space for local non-profit community groups.

Check back regularly for additional information as we get closer to the date.
