Stowe Performing Arts is back in the Meadow with the first concert of the summer!
The Vermont Symphony Orchestra returns on its beloved statewide summer concert tour with "Celebrate!" conducted by Music Director candidate Julian Pellicano.
Alongside perennial Pops favorite music by John Williams (Liberty and Olympic Fanfares) and John Philip Sousa (the rousing I), we'll enjoy strains of Bernstein's West Side Story, Copland's feisty Rodeo, Rossini's William Tell Overture, Quinn Mason's sparkling A Joyous Fanfare (described by the composer as "very embodiment of happiness and cheerfulness, an accessible work that would put any listener in a good mood") and more. VSO Principal Trombonist Matt Wright is our soloist for the concert, which closes this year with a festive light display in lieu of fireworks.
