Richmond residents have reported concerns of unsafe traffic conditions on Cochran Rd. to Town Staff and on Front Porch Forum. The Selectboard recently adopted a Traffic Calming Policy (http://www.richmondvt.gov/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/Richmond-Traffic-Calming-Policy.pdf) which outlines a procedure for addressing concerns regarding traffic.
The Town Manager, Police Chief, Road Foreman, and Town Planner are established as the Town Traffic Calming Staff and are responsible for implementing the policy. The Traffic Calming Staff will hold a meeting on Monday, July 11 at 7pm to gather feedback from residents regarding traffic on Cochran Rd.
Prior to this meeting we will be compiling the concerns we have heard to date. The feedback from this meeting, along with feedback compliled prior to the meeting, will help Town Staff get a better understanding of the current situation and then determine what next steps should be taken.
The meeting will be held in the meeting room on the third floor of the Town Center and can also be joined via Zoom. Following is a link to the agenda which also contains the Zoom link:
