This Essential Maintenance Practice (EMP) certification course will give you the basic knowledge of Vermont's Lead Law (EMP) and how to work safely with lead. This course fulfills the training and certification requirements described in the Lead Law and is required prior to performing visual inspection, paint stabilization, maintenance, and filing yearly compliance statements for rental properties and childcare facilities built before 1978. There will be a test when once the class has concluded. An EMP certificate will be sent to registered participants who attend the class and pass the test with a score of 80% or higher.
