Hello Everyone,
On the weekend of July 29 - July 31, 2022 Ascutney Trails Association will host the FLOW STATE Vermont Mountain Bike FestivaL three-day celebration of all things mountain biking at the Ascutney Outdoors Center. It will feature product demos, guided rides and clinics as well as camping, food trucks and beer, live music and more.
We plan on capping the event at 1,000 people but based on current ticket sales expect to see 400 to 700 people. Saturday will most likely have a higher number of people with Friday and Sunday trending lower.
On July 29th Vendors will begin to populate the field next to the Ascutney Outdoors Center throughout the day as well as campers in the town parking lot starting late afternoon. On July 29th, attendees will begin to arrive in the morning and throughout the day to check out the vendor area, food truck location and beer tent. We will have a live band play at 5PM and again at 7PM with them closing their set shortly after 9PM. This will happen again on Saturday with the same schedule. We will have a PA system with announcements of guided rides and other events with some background music playing at a reasonable volume intended for the event site so people can have conversations. We do not plan on playing music early in the morning and will turn it on at 11AM. You may hear an announcement now and then starting at 9AM.
Campers will line the tree line of the large lower town parking lot and tent camping in the 'polo field' next to the T-bar. No campfires are allowed in the camping zone. They will have quiet hours that start soon after the band stops playing music.
This year we will have shuttle vans to both the State Park Trailhead and the West Windsor Town Forest Trailhead. We plan on providing this shuttle service on the hour. The shuttle will be towing a trailer full of bikes, so we plan on cordoning off an area in the town forest parking lot as a turn around for the trailer. We will strongly encourage participants to utilize the shuttle to keep additional traffic to a minimum and some trailhead parking accessible for everyone.
Our general open hours of the festival are:
Friday 9AM - 10PM, Saturday 9AM - 10PM, Sunday 9AM - 3PM
Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
Thank you,
Erik Schutz - President of Ascutney Trails Association
