7th Annual Run for Empowerment Saturday June 14th at Burlington’s Waterfront Park.
Support Chittenden County’s domestic abuse support service agency Women Helping Battered Women; by fundraising, participating or volunteering at the 7th Annual Run for Empowerment at Burlington’s Waterfront Park Saturday June 14th starting at 9 am. There are events for the whole family, including a 5K walk/run, a 10K run, and a 1K kids’ fun run! This family-friendly event raises money to support WHBW’s confidential emergency shelter and 24/7 crisis and information hotline.
There will be Kids City gift certificate prizes for top 12 yrs and under fundraisers and tons of participant raffle prizes. The top fundraising team takes home the Cup of Empowerment for one year! There will be free massages, food, and plenty of kid’s activities all to the tunes of DJ Ronnie K from MP103!
Online registration through FirstGiving is open through Thursday at 9 am, registration is $40. We would love to encourage you to fundraise - your support is needed. If you would like to simply pay the registration yourself you can donate to your own page when registering or to the event. A personal check or cash during pick up can also be an option.
