Please join us for this Wednesday's Meeting, at 7.00 p.m. in FAHC's McClure Lobby Conference Room, free parking in the McClure garage, courtesy of FAHC.
The agenda looks like this: 7.00 p.m.: Welcome and Introductions 7.05: City Council updates: Sharon Bushor, Selene Colburn 7.20: Speak out 7.35: Deborah Pereira, Planned Parenthood will update us about PPNNE's Navigator role for Vermont Health Connect and remind us that there may still be individuals eligible to enrol through VHC.
7.45: UVM's "STEM" Project.
Bob Vaughan, UVM's Director Capital Planning and Management will present details of this "Science, Technology, Engineering & Math" Project. This is a precursor for a more detailed UVM Facilities Plan Update expected at a Ward 1 NPA Meeting this fall. If there are any details available further to the Taft Building transaction, I hope we will hear these too.
8.15: Hopefully the Burlington School Budget Vote situation will be clear by the time you read this, but "What now for Burlington Schools and the School Board?" Newly minted Ward 1 School Commissioners Kyle Dodson and Mark Porter are invited to bring their perspectives to the NPA, but public input is crucial. All are encouraged to join the discussion and offer perspectives. Hopefully this may include any "Taft" update also.
8.45: It is currently planned for the NPA to take a summer break, but meetings will be convened if subjects warrant. We are also looking for new Steering Committee volunteers, so please put your hand up and join us in shaping next "season's" Meetings.
All are enthusiastically invited and we look forward to welcoming you.
Hope to see you there.
