Heritage Days are right around the corner, and the Friends of the Aldrich Public Library are busily boxing and sorting books for the annual summer book sale under the tents on the library lawn. If you have books you'd like to get rid of, consider bringing them down to the library before Friday, July 22. We especially like to get books for kids.
This year's sale will take place under tents on the library lawn (paperbacks and children's items) and in the air-conditioned splendor of the Milne Room (adult fiction and nonfiction). If you'd like to help the Friends set up books for the sale after about 100 pm on Thursday, July 28, please call Marianne Kotch at 476-4185 to sign up. You'll get to see what's on sale before anyone else.
The sale will be on Friday, July 29, from 8 am to 5 pm, and on Saturday, July 30, from 8 am to 1:00 pm. Get there early for the best selection, but we will have plenty to choose from both days. Most hardcover books will still sell for $1, paperbacks for $0.50 (mass market) or $1 (trade), and all children's items for $0.25. Bring a bag(s) to fill up for a summer of excellent reading!
