The Big Shabang will return to Knight Point State Park this Saturday, June 14th from 11:00am-3:00pm! Thanks to the Franklin-Grand Isle United Way, the event includes a free picnic style barbeque, lots of healthy activities and some great features like a 29’ climbing wall, a bouncy house, obstacle course, the Big Blue Trunk, and demos from local law enforcement and emergency services and so much more!

Over the past 8 years the Big Shabang has been a great opportunity to bring the island communities together in a friendly entertaining environment that also encourages healthy eating and exercise. Over 1000 people participated in 2012 at beautiful Knight Point State Park in North Hero. With the closing of the Grand Isle County Clean Team, Franklin-Grand Isle United Way felt this great community event needed to continue to promote a message of healthy, active youth connecting with their community. This year’s event focuses on Healthy Kids + Healthy Lake = Healthy Vermont! All are welcome to attend this fun, free, family event.
