Posting on behalf on the Camel's Hump Nordic Skiers' Association. We attended the inaugural event last year and it is a beautiful setting for a night of music.
Hello Richmond xc skiers and music fans,
The non-profit, Camel's Hump Skiers' Association, dba Camel's Hump Nordic Ski Area in Huntington, is hosting its 2nd Annual "Under the Hump" outdoor music festival on Saturday, August 27th from 3pm to 9pm. The festival is a fundraiser for CHNSA trail projects and to help pay down the new grooming machine we purchased last year.
There will be five bands, including Francesca Blanchard & Justin Wells, Red Hot Juba, The KnowWhere kids, The Slow Cookers, and Appalachian Apollo.
Tickets will be limited to the first 300 sold at $15, with 12 and under FREE. There will be a raffle of goodies from our sponsors, Skida, Darn Tough, Magda Made, and Billie Jean Vintage. The world famous Glory Burgers will be available on site for the hungry, and we'd like to thank Beaudry's Store in Huntington for providing bottled water, seltzers and soda for a thirsty crowd. Could even be room for a frisbee, cornhole, or other fun stuff!!
Get your tickets early through the website, eventbrite (link below) so you don't miss out. The venue is a lovely meadow sloping west from the top of Bert White Road with a wonderful Adirondack view. It will be a short walk along one of the trails to the meadow. Bring a blanket, chairs, and BYOB if you're inclined. There could even be room for frisbee, cornhole, or other fun stuff!!
