After closing down during the pandemic, the Essex Community Historical Society's Tales and Treasures lecture series are back for 2022. The lectures will be held on the 2nd Wednesday of July, August, and September at Memorial Hall in Essex Center. The October program is on the first Tuesday at the First Congregational Church in Essex Junction. They all start at 7 p.m.

The July 13 program is by Brad Holden who will be presenting on John Johnson and his early 1800's survey of the entire Town of Essex. This survey resulted in the 1807 map.
