2022 Stowe Jewish Film Festival Coming in July
We are pleased to announce the 2022 Stowe Jewish Film Festival (SJFF) is back in person this year! After 2 years of a virtual festival due to the Covid pandemic, the SJFF will present a hybrid festival in 2022, combining in-person and virtual screenings for four films. This year's theme is The Jewish Experience: a multiplicity of cultures, languages, countries, traditions, and colors. Patterns of immigration have taken Jews all over the world, melding and merging, creating hybrid cultures and complex identities.
The 2022 SJFF features films exploring the dramatic journey of Jews from Ethiopia to their new home in Israel, the relationship of members of a Texas Jewish merchant family with their Mexican neighbors at the start of the 20th century, the lives of the few remaining members of the ancient Jewish community of Cochin, India, and the Cuban/Latin music and dance scene in '50s and 60's NYC and the Catskills.
Tickets for all films are available to purchase online through the festival's marketing partner Spruce Peak Performing Arts Center.
