The South Hero Volunteer Fire Department and Auxiliary will be having the annual Chicken Barbecue at the station at 131 Community Lane on July 4th prior to the parade.
Chickens can be purchased beginning at 7:00 AM and ending at 11: 00AM -or- when all chickens are sold. Sales are on a cash basis and the cost per half chicken is $8.50.
A chicken sellout usually occurs, so please plan to arrive early. If you are new to the community, this annual event is a tradition including our secret BBQ sauce.
In addition, the auxiliary will have T-shirts available at $10.00 supporting the fire department. Wear your new T-shirt to the 4th of July Parade later that day honoring volunteers!
