Saturday, June 14, 4 pm - 7 pm - Simple good old-fashioned BBQ - stop by and enjoy a hamburger or hotdog - a glass of lemonade - to celebrate the rebirth of 118 North Calais Road property - a house that has undergone (and is undergoing) a major transformation and complete renovation, gutted right down to the walls. We have a full week of intense labor and details to tend to - and by next Saturday, after five months of contractors working on this house through a brutal winter, it's time to celebrate! (A very special thank you and shout out to our next door neighbor who has been a phenomenal neighbor throughout this whole process - and to all the folks on North Calais Road - thank you).

This is the reason why we live in Vermont - these glorious summer days. We'd like to open our house and share it with you and enjoy a little summer fare. This house sits on the National Historic Registry! It is not zoned in a historic district, so the restrictions to fix it were not an issue. However, we are thrilled that we can take a house that has been around for 165 years and breathe life back into it with a new beginning, to be enjoyed by the new owners for years to come. Comes with a full one-year warranty from our contractors. They will be invited to join us on the 14th - and this is your opportunity to see the house before it sells. Sadly, we are putting on the market - and I do mean sadly, because we have fallen in love with the great neighbors, the neighborliness of everyone - so rare and wonderful - the way life should be - the community, the area, and the house. Knowing it will make a family happy for years to come gives us the greatest feeling. We hope you will enjoy having it in your community with its new facelift.
