I volunteer with Potter's Angels Rescue and recently my 8-year-old nephew has grown a huge interest in the work involved in animal rescue. Currently, Potter's is fundraising in hopes to build a sanctuary for dogs that do not yet have foster/adoptive homes and for dogs that need rehabilitation before going into a forever home. My nephew is hosting a bake sale this Sunday, June 8th, from 10am-4pm at the Pet Food Warehouse on Williston Road to benefit the rescue and future sanctuary. There will be loads of yummy goodies donated by local vendors such as Chubby Muffin, Mirabelle's, Meyer's Bagels, Ben & Jerry's, and many MANY more! My nephew went door to door to these companies asking if they would be willing to donate and has put so much work into this bake sale, I hope that it is a huge success for him! Please stop by and help out with this great cause, we even have some treats for your four legged friends!
