After a short break in posting, we're back to THANK YOU ALL again for all you've done to help bring back Worcester's 4th of July celebration! We be reaching out in the next ten days with some ways you can help out as we get ready for the festivities.
But in the meantime, in case you've been wondering, here's the basic schedule for Worcester's 4th of July extravaganza:
MONDAY, JULY 4th
11:00 AM – PARADE (Participants line up at 10:30 – Rt. 12 just south of the village)
9:00-4:00 – WORCESTER HISTORICAL SOCIETY open house (closed during parade)
11:30 at LADD FIELD – FOOD & ACTIVITIES
- Community vendors: burgers, hot dogs, sausage grinders, fruit cups
- Woodbelly Pizza
- Fred's Ice Cream Truck
- Fried Dough
CHILDREN'S & FAMILY GAMES, races and lots of other activities, including that slippery climbing pole, and even a GIANT BANANAGRAMS game!
SONG CIRCLE at canopy near WHS
1:00 – Reading Frederick Douglass – near WHS
1:30-3:00 – ICE CREAM SOCIAL at the church annex
3:00 – Our famous DUCK RACE – on Minister Brook, Rt 12 north by Balsam Acres
(Numbers $5 each, or 5 for $20 to benefit July 4th fund - CASH prizes)
4:00 – "Worcester Voices from the Past: Brothers Four and More" presented by WHS, at the Worcester Village Cemetery
Late Afternoon and Evening food vending: Mo's Backyard BBQ; Woodbelly Pizza; Fried Dough; Fred's Ice Cream Truck on Ladd Field
7:00-9:00 – BAND MUSIC: "LEGEND" on Ladd Field
9:30 – FIREWORKS!!! by Northstar of East Montpelier
