Please join the Morristown Centennial Library this month in a group reading of Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe by Benjamin Alire Saenz. "A beautiful story brilliantly told" says Booklist, this book won the Michael L. Printz Award for Excellence in Young Adult Literature. This read is a great way to celebrate Pride month this June, as well as a lovely excuse for adults to discover that "Young Adult" reads are not just for teens. Themes of friendship and love, loss and recovery, parenting and growing up will resonate with readers of all ages. It also takes place in 1987, a time period that many adults will feel comfortable diving into :).
Copies of the book are available here at the library. To reserve a copy, email us at info@centenniallibrary.org, call us at 888-3853 or just stop by the library and check one out. A book discussion is scheduled for Tuesday July 12th at 1pm, but you don't have to be able to make the discussion to get a copy and participate in this group read.
From the book cover:
"Against all odds, when Ari and Dante meet, they develop a special bond that will teach them the most important truths of their lives, and help define the people they want to be. But there are big hurdles in their way, and only by believing in each other―and the power of their friendship―can Ari and Dante emerge stronger on the other side."
