Blue Green Algae?? Find Out:
What do blue-green algae blooms look like? What health and environmental concerns do they pose? Where are they most likely to occur on Lake Champlain and why? What should you do if you see a bloom? How can you help prevent them?
The Lake Champlain Committee is hosting informative, interactive sessions about this critical lake issue. Join us in Shelburne Tuesday June 10 at 3:30 in the Shelburne Parks and Recreation Activity Room located in the Town Offices to learn more about blue-green algae or get trained to monitor lake conditions. Presentations will last about an hour and provide background about blue-green algae, guidance on how to differentiate it from other lake phenomena, and instructions for assessing water conditions. RSVP online or by phone (802 658-1414) to help ensure we have enough materials on hand. For more information contact Lori Fisher at LCC 802-658-1414 or email: lorif@lakechamplaincommitte.org
