Join us at The Argyle Free Library for a summer of fun programs and great books!
Each summer reader gets a log book and stickers to mark their progress. Readers can come to the library for prizes as they achieve their reading goals throughout the summer. At the end of the summer, we will award the readers who have completed the program with a celebration, a prize, and a reading certificate.

We will be hosting a series of great events on Thursdays throughout the summer. You can register for events on our Facebook page, or by calling the library. We are excited to share these fun programs with you this summer and can't wait to see you soon!!
July:
7th (Thurs)- 11:00 - Ocean Craft Day
Make a special Salt Watercolor Painting, Ocean Slime, or Sea Side Soap! (all ages)
14th (Thurs)- 11:00 - STEM Boat Making Workshop
Learn what makes things float and start building your own boat to compete in the AFL Regatta. (Age 5+)
16th (Sat)- 11:00 - AFL Regatta
Test your boats on our challenging water course. (whole family)
21st (Thurs)- 11:00 - Pirates & Mermaids Party
Dress up as a beautiful mermaid, a villainous pirate, or as a beautiful pirate or terrifying mermaid! (all ages)
August:
4th : 11:00 (Thurs)- Ocean Craft Day 2
Make a Shell Buddy, create a Sea Glass Mosaic, or design your own fish!
11th : 11:00 (Thurs)- What's Up with Water?
Learn about the science of water, do some experiments and play outside in our water wonderland!
18th : 11:00 (Thurs)- Save the Oceans With Art
Learn about our oceans and what we can do to preserve them and create some amazing things with recycled plastic with guest artist Kate Austin.
25th : 11:00 (Thurs)- Highland Herps Reptiles & Amphibians
They may not be fish, but these amazing animals can teach us a lot!
September:
