Royalton Memorial Library is pleased to collaborate with Jeff T. Cunningham for a very exciting event "Understanding and Misconceptions around Bees and Beekeeping"!
We will have a chance to listen and explore some of the concepts, structures, and definitions that are involved in the world of bees and beekeeping, and challenge what we really know about their species and the apiary field. There will be a discussion as well as time for a Q&A - so bring an open mind and feel free to bring some questions as well.
Cunningham has been a part of the Vermont Beekeepers Association since 1988. Some of his projects include research in Uzbekistan and working with beekeepers in Jordan. Cunningham's work included founding and operating a non-profit called Silk Bridges Inc. which promoted cultural exchange between Soviet and American Artists!
He wrote and co-developed some of the first organic standards for apiculture. This event is in partnership with the Retain Vermont Program, and is aimed at dismantling some public misconceptions around beekeeping.
The event will be held virtually as well as at the Royalton Memorial Library @ 6:30 PM, on June 30th. If you are interested in attending virtually or have questions about the event - email librarian@roylatonlibrary.org or call the library at (802)-762-7094 for more information.
