Hello neighbors,
On Saturday July 9th the Richmond Trail Running Club will be holding a 50k/25k trail race - named the "Aliza Lapierre Fan Club 50!" If you know of any runners who are interested in a challenge that day, send them our way at richmondtrailrunners@gmail.com. Race proceeds will benefit the local VMBA chapters who maintain these networks as well as the Nulhegan Abenaki Tribe.
The event is a big project we've worked on for a while, and includes trails in Carse Hills, the Hinesburg Town Forest, Sleepy Hollow, and the Preston and Cochran's network. Richmond locals should know that there will be light runner traffic between Sherman Hollow and Dugway Road on the 9th, from 9:00 to mid-afternoon. Volunteers will help at crossings.
We hope to see you there, if running/hiking 17 or 31 miles is your forte.
