Wednesday, June 22 - the League of Women Voters of Vermont will host a live Candidates Forum for office of Secretary of State at the St. Johnsbury Athenaeum, 1171 Main Street, from 7:00-8:30 pm. A Meet-and-Greet has been scheduled for 6:30 p.m.

Five candidates vying for the nomination of Secretary of State are: Representative Sarah Copeland Hanzas; Robert Millar; John Odum, Montpelier City Clerk; H. Brooke Paige; and Chris Winters, Deputy Secretary of State. Tom McKone, former Executive Director of the Kellogg-Hubbard Library, will serve as moderator.
The Secretary of State serves as our Chief Elections Officer, a position that carries significant responsibilities in ensuring that elections for all levels of office are fair and voting is accessible to all citizens.
The Forum is sponsored by the League of Women Voters of Vermont, St. Johnsbury Athenaeum, and the Women's International League for Peace and Freedom, Burlington Chapter.
