In Slavic and Baltic folk culture, summer solstice is a huge event celebrated with bonfires, flower wreath weaving, dancing and singing. In this workshop, you will learn Ukrainian 'Kupalo' songs celebrating love and summer and Ivan Kupala -- Ivan the Bather, the spirit of summer solstice, as well as Lithuanian 'Sutartines', an ancient form of trance-inducing round singing.
