The road committee will meet this coming Monday at 4:30 p.m. at the municipal office Community Meeting Room. The committee is reviewing all town highways as directed by the Selectboard in the 04/10/2014 Committee Mission Statement:

1. Private Roads and Current Inventory - Are we maintaining private roads? What is the condition of all roads?
2. Limited Use Roads - Are the old "farm or barn roads" that now serve one home providing a public benefit?
3. Should there be a moratorium on adding new town maintained roads? Should existing roads be thrown up and revert to private maintenance?

The initial roads identified for further review are posted in the Committee's 05/12/2014 Minutes (with Agendas and Mission Statement) at the town website under "Highway". Please contact me with any questions. Landowners and residents are welcome to attend and provide your road history, expectations for our road network or simply to listen to the debate as the Committee prepares its recommendations for the Selectboard.
