This Sunday, June 19 at 10:00am, the Warren United Church, Waitsfield United Church of Christ, and wider community will gather for a special service, including a FaithNet Presentation by the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI). The service will be held at the Warren United Church, located at 339 Main Street in Warren Village. There will be a community offering received to support the good work NAMI is doing here in VT. After the service, we will celebrate Father's Day with a sweet treat. Everyone welcome!
"NAMI FaithNet is an interfaith presentation by NAMI members for friends, clergy and congregations of all faith traditions who wish to encourage their communities to be welcoming and supportive of persons and families living with a mental health condition. NAMI FaithNet encourages welcoming, caring congregations as well as to promote the vital role of spirituality in the journeys of many who live with mental health conditions, for whom faith may be a key component of recovery. Through efforts in local communities, NAMI Vermont facilitates the exchange of information, tools and other resources which will help educate and inspire faith communities about mental health and the vital role spirituality plays in recovery for many Vermonters. NAMI FaithNet is not a religious network but includes an effort to outreach to all religious organizations."
