The Waterbury Arts Fest is a two-day celebration of all things art in downtown Waterbury, starting with the Friday Night Block Party on July 8 from 5-10 pm and continuing through the Saturday Arts Market on July 9 from 10 am-4 pm.
The Friday Night Block Party kicks off the fun with a night of moving and grooving headlined by The Grift with the Reid Parsons Project opening. This classic street dance includes a large stage, a fabulous beer garden run by The Reservoir, and an awesome food truck court. Come hungry - our food vendors will be providing good eats all night long to help you dance the night away! The Block Party is FREE but donations are welcome. Anyone who donates at the gate will receive a raffle ticket to win one of two fabulous prize boxes filled with over a dozen local items and gift certificates valued at over $100 each.
The Saturday Arts Market is part two of the Waterbury Arts Fest weekend, with over 100 booths of art, activities, food, and so much more! The artist list includes a rich mix of new and returning vendors with a wide variety of handcrafted items from woodcraft and jewelry to paint and photography, to textiles and ceramics. Live performances will keep the stage busy all day long, with music ranging from high-energy bands to crooning singer-songwriters, and a local dance troupe. Family fun will abound at the Kids' Tent, where kids of all ages can make crowns, try their hand at the pottery wheel, and explore arts and making to their heart's content. Don't forget to visit the delicious food trucks, which will be serving breakfast, lunch, and sweet treats all day long!
The Waterbury Arts Fest is the primary fundraiser for Revitalizing Waterbury, whose mission is to preserve, promote and enhance the economic, social and historic vitality of Waterbury, Vermont. The Waterbury Arts Fest is sponsored by dozens of local businesses, led by VSECU, our Grand Sponsor; The Reservoir, our Friday Night Block Party Sponsor; Ben & Jerry's, our Stage & Entertainment Sponsor and NBC5, our Media Sponsor.
