Hello neighbors,

Our first foray of the season ended with full baskets of edible and medicinal fungi, its time for round two!

If you are interested in mushrooms and want to build your confidence while learning about the fungi that inhabit our forests, now's the time. Join me for an educational walk through the woods as we ID common species of mushrooms and learn how to utilize our fungal findings for food and medicine. Forays are a great activity for outdoor enthusiasts of all ages and abilities that want to deepen their understanding and connection with the natural world.

We will gather at the Uplands trails parking lot off Robtoy Rd at 9am rain or shine and aim to start walking by 9:30 after a safety and sustainability discussion. Please where hiking shoes, long socks, and pants as we will be rocking the Tick-Tuck to keep those pesky blood suckers at bay. Be prepared for other insects with bug spray/hats/long sleeves.
