Are you interested in building community resilience and sufficiency through localizing? Join us for "Planet Local: A Quiet Revolution," a new documentary film, at BALE (Building A Local Economy) COMMONS (35 S. Windsor St.) in SOUTH ROYALTON ON TUESDAY, JUNE 21 AT 7 PM. The in-person program includes Steve Gorelick, managing director of Local Futures, the global organization that has led the transformative effort to redirect our collective intentions toward creating a more just world grounded in happiness and wellbeing (rather than a consumptive globalized economy) by advancing localization. The 50-minute, just-released film features a chorus of voices from across the world as well as snippets from many videos shared by localization partners in 2021. After the film, join us in sharing how we can advance localizing in our communities and the work that lay ahead. Free.
