In addition to routine items, the Brandon selectboard this Monday will:
1) sit as liquor control commissioners to review permits issued by the town clerk
2) sit as wastewater commissioners to move forward on the voter-approved improvements to the treatment plant, including funding (a Clean Water loan is under consideration to cover any amount beyond the bond) and conditional approval of awarding the work to Naylor & Breen in concurrence with completed bid analysis and recommendation for award, contingent on approval from USDA and State of Vermont Water Investment Division. The wastewater commission will also consider annual purchase orders for the operation of the plant, processing of sludge, and laboratory testing.
3) hear a citizen concern about the curb on Champlain Street, consider reduction in the size of the planning commission to ensure they can do their work by meeting quorum, adopt rules of procedure for future vicious dog hearings, make a raft of annual appointments to boards/councils/commissions/committees, and hold two executive sessions, one about an employee matter and one about a police union contract matter.
Public participation and comment is invited and welcome. The meeting is in-person with a Zoom option for those who prefer. Agendas in full and place/time/Zoom details are at the links below.
Respectfully submitted,
Seth Hopkins, chair of selectboard
