Stroll with us around the Packer Corners neighborhood on Monday, June 13th at 10:30.
We will explore historic "Total Loss Farm" with Verandah Porche then cross the road to South Belden Hill to marvel at Lana's and Myron's meandering gardens featuring unique stone creations and view Susan's and Gilbert's once 18th century one-room schoolhouse, now delightful B&B.
We will begin at Total Loss Farm, 45 Old County Road. Verandah warns that GPS to this destination can be misleading, so here are her travel directions:
From Guilford Center Road turn onto Weatherhead Hollow Road for 4.9 miles.
The official Packer Corners Road sign is missing, but there is a small wooden sign.
Turn right onto Packer Corners Road for 1.5 miles. Old County Road on the left
is my driveway. You may drive in and park. I will be looking for you outside my red house.

Also, ongoing weekly "Lap Walks" take place at the Playscape in Guilford Center, every Friday morning at 10:30. The Playscape is a delightful little park with a babbling brook and a gravel walking path around its perimeter. This activity is ideal for all fitness levels. The path is flat, and walkers can choose to do one lap then relax at picnic tables, or as many laps as desired. The Playscape is a short distance up Carpenter Hill Rd. From Guilford Center Rd. turn right at the Guilford Free Library, go around the bend and look for the park immediately on your right.
Note: This is an informal event. If you arrive early, or late, it is easy to jump in with us or go at your own pace, Friday mornings or any other time!
