This May composer-pianist David Feurzeig embarked on Play Every Town: 251 free concerts in each of Vermont's 251 towns to combat climate change through the power of community and music. With this project David will become the first musician to perform in every Vermont municipality. He will travel in his solar-charged electric vehicle throughout the state, offering free concerts to bring attention to the interrelated issues of climate and community, while bringing the joy of music to his audiences.

"I want to support Vermont's local communities with live performance in village centers and downtowns, and fulfill UVM's mission to serve as a resource for the whole state."

Join David at the Hazen Union High School on 06/12/22 at 4:00 pm for the fourth Play Every Town concert. Each concert will include some local customization, such as collaborations with local artists or music by a local composer. Sunday's program will feature performances by the Hazen Union music faculty: flutist Leah Gagnon and soprano Mavis MacNeil (including Mavis' own "The Oven Bird"). Solo piano music, from classical to ragtime and jazz, will round out the program.
