Synopsis:
Reeling in the wake of an unexpected heart transplant, Joy finds herself drawn to contact the donor's family. A tempestuous meeting ensues resulting in a roller coaster of tears, laughter and healing. An intimate and poignant play that explores the power of human connection.

Roles:

Jack (M, 30-40)
Jack donated his heart to Joy. Finding his own path. Single, kind of cool, and dead.

Alice (F, 50+)
Jack's mother. Grieving the loss of her son while navigating and supporting those around her.

Sammy (F, 20-30)
Jack's sister and daughter of Alice and Hank. A preschool teacher, she is somewhat 'new agey'. A huge heart that she wears on her sleeve (and shares in her blog).

Nurse/Darla (F, 40-60)
Dual roles! A great challenge as Joy's Nurse as well as her best friend Darla. A big personality with a wardrobe to match.

Note:
All cast and crew members must be fully vaccinated.

Cast members may be asked to stay after auditions for a table-read the afternoon of Saturday the 18th.
