Special HPC Meeting: New Draft Design Guidelines

Past event
Jun 14, 2022, 6 to 7 PM

Montpelier's Historic Preservation Commission is inviting the people of Montpelier, particularly those that live, work, and own property within the Design Review Overlay District, to attend a special presentation of new Draft Design Review Guidelines on Tuesday, June 14th, at 6:00 PM in the City Council Chambers of City Hall or via Zoom.

To access the event remotely use the following link: https://us06web.zoom.us/j/84572651076
Or Call: 1-929-205-6099, and use Meeting ID: 845 7265 1076

The Design Review Guidelines are intended to provide guidance on how to comply with the City's Design Review Regulations found at § 2201 of the Unified Development Regulations, as well as broader information on historic preservation and maintenance of the City's built environment—i.e., the buildings and settings for our homes and businesses.

The Commission is looking for critical review and feedback from you, the people owning and using the buildings in Montpelier. The goal is for the Guidelines to be a resource when questions come up during project planning and zoning permit application review, for both historic and non-historic properties, as well as brand new construction. The Guidelines will not be the *rules* governing permit issuance, but they will inform decisions made about projects in the Design Review Overlay District.
