The dance event I offered received definite attention and some interest but zero actual RSVP response one way or another. Therefore my birthday party will NOT occur tonight and is postponed indefinitely. Please watch the movie Tomorrowland instead if for some reason you want to celebrate my birthday and you haven't seen that one already!! Thanks!
Notice that for a ninety minute dance event within a two-hour window, there wouldn't be much time for political speech: that was my intention. I basically just wanted to be able to clean the gym before and after; offer to pray together before class for whoever wanted; to sing the national anthem or recite the Pledge of Allegiance together before class; and to have a meet and greet for a few minutes after dancing.
Perhaps I can put together and promote better a "megadance" event in late July : ) I really want to see two hundred local people standing around at the end being happy with the way we've spent a portion of our lives.
If you're looking for athletic activity tonight, there might be some open gym basketball at the rec center. Please do take advantage of the service of the recreation center on Creek Road at whatever time to have fun, be healthy, and make our community life awesome. Using the facility during open gym hours is free to all town residents and there is a schedule online showing when the facility has been reserved and structured out for particular purposes.
So, politics. While I drafted up a bunch of things to publish today, I may wait until I have a better ability to produce and publish single-issue "deep-dive" content.
